Is God a good Wrestler? how about Mathematician?
Please read carefully the following story selected from the Holy Scriptures, Kings II 16:2, 18:2 "" Ahaz was twenty years old when he became a king, and he ruled (16) sixteen years in Jerusalem. Ahaz died and was buried with his ancestors in Jerusalem, and Hezeki'ah the son of Ahaz became King in his place. Hezeki'ah, Son of Ahaz, King of Judah, became King during the third year HOSHEA, Son of Elah was King of Israel. Hezeki'ah was twenty-five years old when he became a King.""
Our Comments:
A simple calculation gives us the definite conclusion that King Ahaz was a child ten to eleven (10-11) years of age when his son, Hezekiah, was born!
Is this reasonable? Use your common sense and judge for yourself! Is such a story in the Holy Bible true? And is it a genuine word of God?
A wrestling match between God and Jacob:
Genesis 32:24-30 "" And Jacob was left alone; and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and Jacob's thigh was put out of joint as he wrestled with him. Then he said, "Let me go, for the day is breaking." But Jacob said, "I will not let you go, unless you bless me." And he said to him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Jacob." Then he said, "Your name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed." Then Jacob asked him, "Tell me, I pray, your name." But he said, "Why is it that you ask my name?" And there he blessed him. So Jacob called the name of the place Peni'el, saying, "For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life is preserved."
Our comments:
Is it reasonable that God came down to the Earth in the garb of Man and wrestled with his creature, Jacob, and couldn't defeat him? To elude Jacob's grip, he was compelled to strike Jacob's hip! He broke the rules of wrestling which prohibit anyone of the contestants to hit his opponent in such a way that could cause severe injury to his friend! We ask the opinion of Mr. Halks Hogan, the famous wrestler in the U.S.A., about that wrestling match between God and His creature Jacob? Such a ridiculous story shows not only the weakness of our Al-Mighty Creator in Wrestling, but also His unknowing the name of His opponent, when he asked him, "What his name was". Then the Al-Mighty God confessed that he couldn't defeat Jacob, "Jacob had won! The game against God!!!!
Is it reasonable that such sort of Absurdity in the Holy Bible a genuine Word of God?
Please compare and contrast that Biblical description of God with the following description of Him in the Holy Koran:
"" Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies ALLAH; and HE is the Mighty, the Wise. HIS is the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth; HE gives life and HE causes death, and HE has power over all things. HE is the First and the Last, and the Manifest and the Hidden, and HE has full knowledge of all things. HE it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then HE settled Himself on the Throne. HE knows what enters the earth and what comes out of it, and what comes down from the heaven and what goes up into it. And HE is with you wheresoever you may be. And ALLAH sees all that you do.
HIS is the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and to ALLAH are all affairs returned for final judgment. HE causes the night to pass into the day and causes the day to pass into the night; And HE knows well all that is in the hearts. "" 57:1-6
In the Holy Scriptures, Mark 11:12-14 "" On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. And he said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard it.""
Everyone of us knows that it is the constant Law of God, the Creator of everything, that each tree must follow a natural course of time (a Calendar) for blooming, sprouting, ripening fruits, and ceasing the produce. All these stages are performed at very accurate and successive intervals according to God's law. Jesus, certainly, had known that; So, how did he curse the (poor) fig tree for not having figs at a wrong season? He had raised a dead man, and healed chronic disease in several persons; so, couldn't he then add to his miracles a new one by making that fig tree bear fruit even out of season?
Use your common sense and judge for yourself: is such a story a genuine word of God in the Holy New Testament? Or it is simply an interpolation and distortion made by a human being to make us, the simple people, condemn the fig tree because it did not bear fruits for Jesus Christ to eat even in the wrong season?
God's cruelty
In the Holy Scriptures, Deuteronomy 28:15 & 28:30 "" But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her; you shall build a house, and you shall not dwell in it; you shall plant a vineyard, and you shall not use the fruit of it.""
Is it reasonable that Our creator, the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious, is so Cruel to pass such a hideous sentence on an innocent "wife-to-be" for an offense her fiancee' committed? Does God order "Adultery" as a punishment?
Please compare and contrast with the following verses from the Holy Koran in this respect:
"" Say, `O MY servants who have sinned against their souls, despair not of the mercy of God, surely, God forgives all sins. Verily, HE is Most forgiving, Ever Merciful; `And turn to your Lord, and submit yourselves to HIM, before there comes unto you the punishment; for then you shall not be helped; ""39: 53-54
"" And whosoever does evil or wrongs his soul, and then asks forgiveness of God, will find God Most Forgiving, Merciful. "" 4:110
