Praise be to Allah the Most Gracious Most Merciful:

Is God trying to trick his messengers??

In the Holy Scriptures, Ezekiel 14:9-10 "" And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him; ""

Our Comments:

Is it reasonable that Our Most Merciful God "tricks a prophet" into giving a false prophecy in order to incriminate him and then punish him so severely? The prophet is only a messenger of God and a deliverer of His divine message. If he is tricked by his sender (God) to speak falsehood, is it logical that he should be accountable for his (lie), or the blame must wholly be on his sender who (tricked) him to commit a guilt?

Use your common sense, and judge for yourself whether such a decree is the genuine word of God or it is a flagrant interpolation and distortion inserted by a guilty human hand into the Holly Bible? Please compare and contrast with the following verses from the Holy Koran in this respect:

Please compare and contrast with the following verse from the Holy Koran in this respect:

"" And WE sent not the Messengers but as bearers of glad tidings and as Warners. So those who believe and reform themselves, on them shall come no fear nor shall they grieve. "" 6:48

"" And, surely, Our word has gone forth to Our servants, the Messengers, That it is, certainly, they who will be helped; And that it is Our forces that will, certainly, be victorious. "" 37:171-173
